Schneider Control and Signalling Units

How Can Harmony Controls Help You to Adapt to a New Normal?

2020 has been a year of challenges and struggles as a global pandemic places a new meaning to the term 'normal' and our business and social habits are forced to change as a result. The first lockdown saw many businesses close due to lack of knowledge and access to resources to adapt their infrastructure and move forward safely, but this time around we’re armed with the knowledge of social distancing, a keen requirement for contactless equipment and products that suit our need to get back to business.

What do we need to overcome to get back to business and reinforce these new habits? Primarily, we need to quickly adapt our infrastructure and reduce infection risk in enclosed spaces through a system of management of people flow. Using Schneider Electric intuitive Harmony control operator interfaces enables us to integrate an approach that works seamlessly to achieve our primary goals.

If anyone has been to one of the leading budget supermarkets recently you’ll see
the technology in action, as wait and enter signals control the flow of people in the building. Simply put, customers wait for the control signal beacon such as the Harmony
Tower light range to turn green or flash, allowing them to enter the building. A red light indicates that the flow of people has reached a max and therefore no more occupants are allowed at that time. The system is easily installed and is managed by an employee inside the building operating the battery less control and observing the capacity and people flow internally to remain compliant. A much more pleasant experience than having a security guard outside of the entrance door intimidating customers and potentially putting them off from visiting.
