Eldon moving forward as part of nVent HOFFMAN

Eldon has now become part of nVent, a company based in Minneapolis, USA, who is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions. This pairing is a winning combination for both company and customers. While enjoying the same high-quality product range and flexible support as before, an extended product range, panel shop automation and global manufacturing capabilities will now also be offered.

On becoming a global player

With certain companies operating globally and requiring identical products sourced locally, a global manufacturing footprint is needed for Eldon to satisfy these requirements. This is now becoming a reality, with Eldon becoming part of nVent as of September 2019. While nVent’s enclosures brand, nVent HOFFMAN is well-represented around the world it has a limited presence in Europe, while Eldon enjoys a strong European position. Combining these brands and operating under the name nVent HOFFMAN, gives an excellent potential for growth across many continents. They uniquely have a complete range of IEC and NEMA products available throughout the world.

Offering greater productivity

Eldon and nVent’s shared passion for continuous innovation, searching for new and better solutions to help customers streamline their workload, has already produced examples such as easy to handle and assemble enclosures and their click-in fixation system which speeds up the assembly of their modular floor standing enclosures without the need for any tools.

Improving panel building efficiency can also be found with their Steinhauer machine for automating labour-intensive modification tasks. This includes equipment for tasks such as handling machining of enclosures, cutting to size of DIN rails and cable ducts as well as wire processing - cutting and stripping as well as marking of wires in a swift, simple procedure.

The equipment comes complete with smart software that allows for DXF/DWG conversion to machine code, or for drawing creation with an integrated symbol library. Eldon’s EPLAN library in 2D/3D and other formats are available to support connected systems.

Now under one brand

With a global product portfolio which includes solutions for panel shop automation and manufacturing in many parts of the world, combining the Eldon, Steinhauer, and nVent HOFFMAN brands makes perfect sense, with them complimenting each other well and delivering true added value under one enhanced brand – nVent HOFFMAN.

Speeding up digitalisation

Even more products and constant innovation

Combining Eldon’s and nVent HOFFMAN’s businesses provides not only a range of ATEX-certified wall mounted enclosures and terminal boxes of stainless steel, but also an extended range of thermal management products and numerous low voltage connection accessories. Their pursuit for continuous innovation will continue, doing their utmost to develop both products and support that contribute to improve the customer’s bottom line and ensure customers remain competitive.
