Finder - Much More Than Relays!

Many in our sector know of Finder as a producer of top quality industrial relays, but did you know their product portfolio includes many more products for the control panel building and industrial electrical markets?

After developing the modern step relay, Piero Giordanino founded the company Finder S.p.A. in Italy. Now a global company, they produce various types of electromechanical and electronic devices, manufactured in Europe to the highest quality approvals, for the residential, commercial and industrial markets.

Here is an overview of a few of their popular industrial electrical products:

7F Series Filter Fans and Exhaust Filters
The sleekly designed 7F Series cooling fans and filters are essential components for reducing heat within the panel, ensuring the best possible performance of components and instrumentation within control panels and enclosures.

Ideal for applications such as:
  • Control panels
  • Panels for electrical distribution
  • Force-air ventilators
  • Drying kilns
  • Textile machines
  • Machines for paper processing
  • Wood processing machines

Vital for control panels to cool increasing ambient temperatures between -15…+75°C, Finder’s 7F Series keeps internal devices working at optimal levels, while also preventing dusty or contaminated air from entering the panel, allowing for smooth operating systems. Reverse flow versions are also available.

With its slim construction and wide range of sizes, the 7F can slip into some of the most compact of panels and takes minimal depth within the enclosure, offering a time-saving installation and maintenance for installers.

Available in 24V DC, 120 and 230V AC (50/60 Hz), Finder’s cooling fans and filters offer a flexible, reliable and competitive range, along with Finder’s premium quality reputation. The 7F Series’ air volume is (24...400)m3 /h (free flow) with air volume (14...270)m3 /h (with Exhaust Filter installed in cabinet).

Finder’s 7F Series also has a replaceable G3 rated filter mat which can be removed quickly and tool free. The size of the Exhaust Filter should match the size of the Filter Fan to achieve the best ventilation within the cabinet. Safety is ensured with the filter mats with a DIN F1 fire rating and other plastics comply with UL 94 V-0.

Coming soon…
Finder’s Filter fans will soon be also available in a black finish - RAL 9004.

7H Series Panel Heaters
Ideal for applications such as:
  • Control panels
  • Panels for electrical distribution
  • Force-air ventilators
  • Drying kilns
  • Hoists and cranes
  • Road /tunnel lighting
  • Plastic moulding machines
  • Automatic car washes

The 7H Series panel heaters are ideal components to help prevent condensation and ensure the optimum operating temperature within electrical panels for your components to work to their peak performance and lifespan.

Imperative to increase temperatures within control panels to keep components operating efficiently, Finder’s range of fan assisted panel heaters have heating power options of 25 - 50 - 100 - 150 - 250 and 400 W and a power supply of 230 V AC or 110…230 V AC/DC.

With fast wiring terminals, the 7H Series is vertically positioned within enclosures and is 35mm rail (EN 60715) mountable with a clip, saving installation time. They also have the smallest footprint in the market, taking up minimal space inside enclosures.

The 7H Series panel heaters have an aluminium profile encased in a plastic housing making it safe to touch, preventing any injuries with contact. The operating temperature of the panel heaters is -40...+50°C, keeping vital components at the perfect temperature to run smoothly. The heaters also have a PTC self-regulating heating system. PTC heaters draw maximum power when cold to provide rapid heating to the optimum temperature. Being self-regulating, as the temperature increases, the power consumption simultaneously drops. Installing the 7H Series with a 7T Series thermostat creates a dynamic heating system that is not only effective in preventing condensation, but also time and energy efficient.

The 7H Series in conjunction with Finder’s 7T Series panel thermo hygrostats and thermostats, 7F Series filter fans and 7L Series LED panel lights ensures a high-quality thermoregulation system working at peak performance for all applications.

7T Series Panel Thermo-hygrostat and Thermostats
Ideal for applications such as:
  • Control panels
  • Panels for electrical distribution
  • Force-air ventilators
  • Drying kilns
  • Industrial refrigeration
  • Road / tunnel lighting
  • Industrial furnaces and ovens
  • Automatic car washes

Finder’s 7T Series multi-function thermo-hygrostat and thermostats are a must-have for panel and machine builders needing a space-saving solution to help detect and maintain optimal temperature and humidity within their control panels, particularly in changing environments.

Imperative for applications where the need to control temperature and humidity is vital, such as in drying kilns, road/tunnel lighting, industrial furnaces, refrigeration, and transportation, Finder’s 7T Series detects and maintains the correct humidity depending on ambient temperatures, all within a multi-functional, 35mm rail mounting (EN 60715), compact 17.5mm size.

With thermostat full-scale accuracy at -1…+3K, and hygrostat accuracy within 5%, and a nominal voltage of 110 … 240 V AC/DC, the combined unit of the Type 7T.51 is both space-saving and cost effective. It’s 1 NO 10 A contact allows for direct control of heaters and fans, without a separate modular contactor.

Maintaining constant temperatures in control panels and enclosures, the 7T Series thermostat suits the needs of both simple and sophisticated heating and ventilation systems. It features a snap action thermostatic bimetallic contact sensor and direct switching of heater loads up to 2500 VA and fan loads up to 130W.

Finder’s Type 7T.51 panel thermo hygrostat has a temperature range of +10…+60°C, and the Type 7T.81 thermostat has a temperature range options of -20…+40°C and +0…+40°C. All products protecting components within control panels ensuring long electrical life. The Type 7T.81.0.000.240x thermostat is for heating control, so should the panel temperature fall below the (minimum) set temperature the contact will close to call for heat. The contact will open when this set temperature is exceeded. The Type 7T.81.0.000.230x is for ventilation, so should the panel temperature exceed the (maximum) set temperature then the contact will close to call for cooling. The contact will open when the temperature falls below this set temperature.
