TLA proud to be supporting the charity Refuge

In 2020, TLA decided to support the charity Refuge, due to the increased number of people suffering domestic violence during the pandemic.

Because of the charity’s amazing work 682 women and children woke up safe and supported in their refuges this Christmas.


This wonderful charity runs a range of specialist services, such as refuges, support in the community, activities for their clients’ children and even access to pet fostering services to help survivors access safety and rebuild their lives.


Refuge’s 2020 Christmas appeal raised donations of more than £475,834.

In 2021 this will help them to:

  • Keep their 48 refuges running, to keep women and children safe

  • Power their 24/7 Helpline and live chat services - a lifeline for women experiencing domestic abuse

  • Provide legal, financial and emotional support to women so they can rebuild their lives

  • Drive campaigns that create serious change for women across the country, like lobbying for a Domestic Abuse Bill that is truly transformative and ultimately saves lives
